The Lexington Child Development Center is a mission of Lexington United Methodist Church of the Cross, which supports Christian values. Our mission is to love, care, and develop children so they can reach their full potential while preparing for school. Give them the support they need to grow and thrive in a safe and welcoming environment.
LCDC offers AM or PM preschool classes and childcare for children ages 3-5, kindergarten enrichment, and school-age childcare, up to 4th grade.

Kindergarten Enrichment students attend Lexington’s AM Kindergarten and are then bussed to LCDC. Students arrive in time for lunch followed by recess, and then class. The enrichment class reinforces lessons and skills taught in kindergarten along with offering activities to challenge the students. We use Mother Goose Time with the Experience God Curriculum. Activities include handwriting, arts/crafts, music, science, reading/literacy, and math.
Students may come to the center before and/or after school. The Lexington school bus will pick students up from LCDC in the morning and bring them back at the end of their school day. All students are served an afternoon snack followed by free choice play in the gym, or outside on the playground, weather permitting.
We can’t wait to get to know you and your child! Contact Jenny Brant, Director, at JennyBrant.lcdc@gmail.com or request more information about our programs.
